[Social Innovation]: Social Entrepreneurship Internship Opportunity

The Partnership for Appalachian Girls’ Education “PAGE” is seeking Duke undergraduate interns for this summer

(See attached flyers)

PAGE aims to inspire and empower underserved rural girls through education. Now in its 7th year, PAGE offers innovative learning opportunities for girls in grades 6-9, a mentoring program for 9th grade girls, and high school internships for rural girls with college dreams. With these learning opportunities, PAGE is providing girls with 21st century skills they can someday invest back into their future families and into North Carolina’s mountain communities. In this way, PAGE hopes to create the girl effect. Our goal is to help rural girls and young women create futures that include greater confidence and success in middle school and high school, graduation from high school, and postsecondary education.

To learn more about the internship opportunity, email Deborah Hicks-Rogoff at dhicks@duke.edu. There will also be an information session on December 9th from 12pm-1pm in Perkins 218. Applications are due January 17th.
